I’m sure you all have brilliant ideas about the best place for your lovely Betterspot.Interior design is also fun for many of us!
With all excellent ideas you might have to place your Betterspot, it is important to know where to put it.
You may already know that Betterspot can connect to the internet source via cable or Wi-Fi. Whether it is using the Cable or Wi-Fi connection, there are a few general tips for the optimized place for all routers.
- Place the router in a central location:
The wires you plug into the router are probably set up in the corner of the room, but it’s better to run them over to a more central spot. The location is a key factor for having the maximum speed and signal.
- Avoid surrounding it with metal objects:
Metal dissipates electromagnetic energy quite efficiently. In fact, metal and mirrors are the biggest enemies for your router. Those materials actually reflect radio waves, so putting the router behind a TV or in a bathroom or your kitchen is not recommended at all.
- Set it up high:
Mounting the router to the wall or placing it on a high shelf can give you a better signal, especially if you live in a two-story house and want a good connection on both floors.
I hope you find these tips helpful.
